The Ottawa, Ohio community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kimberly Ann Redman, who passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 56. Kim’s passing leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Remembered for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for others, Kim lived a life that deeply touched everyone around her.
Born on February 25, 1970, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Michael and Angela Maag, Kim carried a spirit that radiated kindness and joy. She was a devoted wife to Ken Redman, with whom she shared more than 30 years of marriage filled with love, loyalty, and partnership. Together, they built a life grounded in family, resilience, and devotion. Kim was also a loving mother to her daughter, Elsa, whose dreams, hopes, and worries Kim embraced with endless encouragement and an open heart.
Family was the center of Kim’s world. She cherished every moment spent at home with loved ones, finding happiness in simple joys—laughing together, watching Hallmark movies, shopping, and talking about life’s beauty and mysteries. She especially loved the beach, where she found peace and comfort. Those closest to her describe her as fiercely loving and protective, someone who fought wholeheartedly for the people she cared about.
Kim’s excitement about becoming a grandmother brought her tremendous joy. Though she will not physically hold her grandchild in her arms, her family finds comfort in believing her love and spirit will remain ever-present as a guiding and protective force.
Beyond her family life, Kim dedicated herself to serving her community with integrity and determination. Beginning her work at the courthouse in 2003, she later became the Putnam County Clerk of Courts in 2018. She was highly respected for her professionalism, leadership, and commitment to public service. Her involvement with the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association, the Putnam County Optimist Club, and the Putnam County Republican Party Central Committee reflected her passion for helping others and strengthening her community.
Kim Redman’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering love. She was truly, as many described her, “an angel on earth”—a soul who made life brighter for everyone fortunate enough to know her.
To Ken, Elsa, her siblings, extended family, friends, and colleagues, heartfelt condolences are extended during this difficult time. May the countless memories she created bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Ottawa VFW, where loved ones will gather to honor and remember the extraordinary life she lived. May Kim Redman rest in eternal peace.
